2023-2024 Dance Competition Teams:

Company teams consist of the most dedicated and talented dancers. These dancers, recommended by instructors, have proven their commitment and skill in rec and comp intro classes. Auditions are open to dancers with two to three years of jazz/ballet experience and a solid understanding of technique. Commitment and effort to improve weekly are crucial.

All qualified dancers will be accepted onto a team. August workshops place dancers in groups that match their technique level and age. Teams focus on mastering technique, learning routines, and competing. We emphasize ballet and technical skills as the foundation for jazz and hip-hop. Dedication, good attendance, and a positive attitude from both students and parents ensure a rewarding experience.

Before this placement workshop we will hold a parent meeting to go over all costs, requirements and specifics that are associated with the program. Once placed on a team, the student will receive their set class schedule, uniform schedule, etc.

Practice/Attendance

A copy of your dancer’s schedule will be emailed to you. Practice consists of ballet/jazz technique, hip hop, jazz and lyrical or contemporary routine work. All dancers are required to be at each and every practice. All absences such as sickness, family vacation or extended holiday must be pre-arranged or excused in advanced. Excessive absences will not be tolerated and can result in dismissal from the team altogether, regardless of fees paid or owed. Practice will be two days a week two-three hours each of those days.
